He framed his sketch & has been proudly displaying it for almost 20 years. He also questions if Steven Avery is really innocent & the validity of the D.N.A. that freed him.
10/31/05 – Steven Avery calls Auto Trader at 8:12am to request that Teresa Halbach come photograph a minivan he was selling. He leaves the name B. Janda which was for his sister Barbara Janda as it was her car

Scott Tadych says he arrived home at 3:15pm & then went hunting . He passed Bobby Dassey on the road who was also going hunting.
Brendan & Blaine Dassey get off the bus at 3:45pm on 10/31/05. The bus driver testifies that she saw a woman taking pictures of a vehicle
Barb comes home & makes dinner for them at 5pm. Blaine leaves at 5:20/ 5:30 with his friend Jason to go Trick or Treating. Barb leaves around 5:30 to go w Scott to Green Bay to visit his mom in the hospital. Blaine’s boss calls at 5:45pm. Brendan used to work for him too.
Steven Avery calls Brendan shortly after that & asked him to come watch a bonfire. 15 minutes later Steven calls again & asked what is taking so long. Brendan was changing his pants & putting on a sweatshirt cuz it’s chilly. Brendan gets there around 7ish. They drive around in Delores Avery’s golf cart picking up debris. When they’re done Steven asks if he wants to help clean the mess in the garage.
Scott Tadych says he saw a fire at 7:30-7:45pm on 10/31/05
After about a half hour Steven & Brendan go out to the fire & Steven gets a call on his cell from Barb. She wanted to know if Brendan was there. She reminds Steven to tell Brendan he needs to be home before 10 & make sure he has a sweatshirt on.
They watch the fire & then at 9:30/ 9:45 Brendan goes home.
Steven received 2 calls from Jodi on 10/31/05. One at 5:36pm & the other at 8:57pm
11/3/05 - Teresa’s Boss Tom Pearce called Teresa Halbach’s mother, Karen Halbach, around 1pm & told her that Teresa didn’t show up for work Tue or Wed. He was worried cuz her VM was full & that was unusual for TH cuz that was her business phone also. Karen called Mike & Tim Halbach to ask if they heard from Teresa. She also called Auto Trader to ask when was the last time they heard from Teresa & didn’t get an answer so then she called Calumet County Sheriff’s Dept.
Mike Halbach got into Teresa’s cell phone records & knew her last call was Monday, 10/31. They used her cellphone records to retrace Teresa’s steps.
They put out posters on 11/03/05 & 11/04/05. Ryan Hillegas, Teresa’s ex-boyfriend, planned to get a group together at Teresa’s house on 11/05/05 to do an organized search in Manitowoc where Teresa was last seen.

11/5/05 - RAV4 found at 10:30am by Pam Sturm, Karen Halbach’s husband’s first cousin. It was about 350 feet from a car crusher at the Avery Salvage yard that was 40 acres & had around 40,000 vehicles.
Investigators become actively involved in the search at 2pm on 11/5/05. Detective Jacobs asks if Steven Avery is in custody.
11/6/05 - Brendan denied any knowledge of Teresa Halbach’s death

11/8/05 - Colborn removes all contents of Steven Avery’s nightstand. No evidence is discovered.

11/8/05 – Steven Avery’s Trailer Searched again & this time Lenk finds a key to the RAV 4
11/8/05 – The RAV4 plates are found by volunteer fireman William Brandes kind of on the path on the way to trailers
11/8/05 - Human bone fragments were found in the burn area but claimed they couldn’t examine or recover the area because of a German Shepherd chained up nearby
11/9/05 - They declare the bones as human & female

11/8/05 – Steven Avery’s Trailer Searched again & this time Lenk finds a key to the RAV 4
11/8/05 – The RAV4 plates are found by volunteer fireman William Brandes kind of on the path on the way to trailers
11/8/05 - Human bone fragments were found in the burn area but claimed they couldn’t examine or recover the area because of a German Shepherd chained up nearby
11/9/05 - They declare the bones as human & female
Steven Avery is arrested on a weapons charge for the .22 caliber Marlin Glenfield Semi-automatic rifle that belonged to Steven’s landlord that hung over the bed. They find cut on his hand & take a swab of his saliva
11/10/05 - They recover more bones.
They find DNA on the key
11/11/05 - The blood found in the cargo area of the RAV 4 match a soda can Teresa Halbach had in the front of her car.
12/6/05 – Teresa Halbach’s Death Certificate is issued. It states she was pronounced dead on November 10 but then also says that the actual or estimated date of death is unknown.
Steven Avery’s Preliminary trial begins. Judge Patrick Willis decides enough evidence exists to hold Steven over for trial
12/20/05 – Steven Avery accepts a settlement from MCSD for $400,000
1/16/06 – Steven Avery pleads innocent
1/19/06 - FBI says cremains in burn pit belong to Teresa Halbach
2/7/06 – Ken Kratz emails Sherry Culhane asking her if she really was the person who tested Steven Avery’s blood sample back in 1985.
2/20/06 - Wiegert re-interviews Avery’s family & Kayla says Brendan Dassey has been acting up lately
2/27/06 - Wiegert & Fassbender go to Brendan’s school & take him out of class. Brendan is then re-interviewed after 10pm in a resort hotel in Mishicot. Wiegert & Fassbender take Brendan to his trailer to get his jeans that had bleach stains on them. They also took Barb Janda’s handcuffs & leg irons.
3/1/06 – Brendan Dassey is interviewed again & they got a search warrant for the garage. Brendan is arrested & charged with First Degree Intentional Homicide, Rape, First Degree Sexual Assault, Pregnancy, Bodily Harm & Mutilating a Corpse
3/1/06 - They find 2 bullets in the garage & Sherry Culhane claims Teresa Halbach’s DNA is on one of them.

1/29/07 - Judge Willis dismisses 2 of 3 charges against Steven Avery – Kidnapping & Sexual Assault – cuz State won’t indicate if Brendan Dassey will testify in Steven’s case
1/30/07 – Judge Willis denies State’s motion to exclude blood vial. The State asks the judge to allow the FBI to develop a chemical test to prove blood not planted & Judge allows it. A test like this has not been done in over 10 years
2/12/07 – Steven Avery’s trial begins in Chilton, WI
3/16/07 - Richard Mahler is dismissed from jury
3/18/07 – Steven Avery is found guilty of First Degree Intentional Homicide & Possession of a firearm. Not guilty on mutilation of a corpse.
4/16/07 – Brendan Dassey’s trial begins
4/25/07 – Brendan Dassey is found guilty of First Degree Intentional Homicide, Mutilating a Corpse & Second Degree Sexual Assault
6/1/07 – Steven Avery is sentenced to life in prison wo possibility of early release
8/2/07 – Brendan Dassey is sentenced to life w possibility of early release in 2048.
1/15/10 - Steven Drizin, Co-Founder of the Center on Wrongful Convictions of Youth is defending Brendan Dassey & claims Kachinsky did not have Brendan’s best interests in mind so should be granted a new trial.
1/21/10 - Drizin shows O’Kelly was only interested in convicting SA regardless of what that would do to Brendan Dassey. He said since Kachinsky was dismissed for allowing Brendan to be interrogated wo an attorney present then the phone calls that resulted from that should be inadmissible.
